how do i set up a linksys 10/100 5-port workgroup switch
l have a ethernet cable hooked from my desktop to my router and l got a
switch with 5-ports so l can hook up my xbox too.l dont know how set up
the switch board so l can get my xbox and desktop running from the router
in my basement. can any one tell me step by step on how to set it up or
show me a link?
It is pretty simple to get a switch going. Take one of the
cables from the router and plug it into the switch. Now, take a cable
from any computers/devices that need internet access and plug them into a
different port on the switch!
Tada! All ports will be served correct IP addresses by your router. Nice
and simple right? :)
